The new nutritional mantra is Good mono and poly saturated fats - that includes nuts which are high in fiber, protects heart, help in weight loss and improve diabetes control.

Researches shows that daily intake of handful of nuts bring health benefit. Nutritionist says nuts help people stick to diet because many of the commercially available fat-free food have virtually no fiber. The complex fiber found in nuts provides major health benefit. Men who ate nuts atleast twice a week had 47 percent less risk of sudden cardiac death. Healthy adults who consume nuts five or more times a week were 50 percent less likely to die of heart attacks.
