Menopause
is natural and biological process. There is need to accept the physical
changes with an open mind to make it less painfull.Hormonal changes during
menopausal period can make different kind of problems. Woman at this stage
always worried about different issues, which also disturbs family peace
and happiness.

This requires some changes in daily routine
and special attention on food, thoughts and activity.
|
|
Here are the some point to consider during menopause:

|
1) Food what we eat during menopause : Because the basic metabolism
reduces with age, this reduces the energy level in the body.
Therefore there is need to control the food along with growing age. Simple
food that is easily digestible and cooked in little oil should be taken.
Fresh seasonal food, green leafy vegetables, dry fruits, cow milk, curd,
soyabean should be taken in sufficient quantity.
Oil, fried, rich cholesterol food, sweets, tea, coffee should be avoided.

2) Activity : The
daily routine activity is very necessary in order to overcome the problem
being faced.
a) Sleep early and wake up early in the morning.
b) Six to eight hour sleep in necessary.
c) Avoid smoking and alcohol.
d) Drink 8 to 10 glass of water.
e) Eat meals at regular time and in balance quantity.
f) Utilize time in social activities, clubs, devotion or some good social
activity.
g) Practice yoga, pranayam and light exercises to overcome mental, physical
and other problem.

3) Thoughts: Thoughts
strengthen our will power. Its thinking which make us feel healthy or sick.
Therefore it is necessary to make positive thinking during menopausal stage.
The woman should think that she is sexually more free and fit even she is
not capable of producing children. There fore she can enhance their looks
and health and can enjoy more frequent sexual life. At this time the family specially
husband should be polite and understanding towards wife.
