Baby learn lie before they talk
|
|
Infants
actually learn to deceive before they can talk, says University of
Portsmouth psychology department head Vasudevi Reddy in a study. Most
psychologist believe that children's are learn to lie on about four years
of age, but after dozens of interviews with parents and years spent
observing children, reddy has determined that infants as young as seven
months are quite killed.
|
|
Fake
crying is the trick that babies learn early onto get attentions. The researches
define "fake" crying as being more calculated than the usual
"I am tired/ hungry" cries.
|
|
Babies
also seems to think they are masters of mind trick, using steady eye
contact as a distraction technique. A 11 month old baby, upon being
presented with toast she didn't want to eat, would hold eye contact with
her mother while discretely chucking the toast on the floor.
|
|
Long
before children's can understand complex ideas about truth and deception,
they are engaging in manipulation of their own and other's action, which succeed
in deceiving other at last temporarily.
