10 reasons to visit gynaecologist

Most
Indian women are not aware of gynecological matters and go for consultancy
only when they have problem. In fact many are reluctant to come for
routine check-ups for fear of discovering they may have cancer. A women
should visit a gynaecologist, especially for screening for cervical and
breast cancer, on every one to three years.

Here are the some reasons why gynaecological consultation
are important :

1) Cervical and Uterine cancers : Go
for Pap smear test at least once in a three month. It helps to detect
the abnormal cells and polyps of uterus and cervix, which can degenerate
into cancer. The Pap smear test is recommended for all the women from the
time they start sexual relation or from age 35, even if they don't have
active sexual life.

2) Menstrual
Problem : Tell the doctor about
menstruation cramps, or an increase or decrease in menstrual frequency,
since they may be caused by an inflammation of the uterine walls or a
vaginal infection. In addition many women suffers hemorrhages-bleeding. This
may be symptoms of cervical cancer. And too much bleeding can cause anemia.

3) Breast
Examination: Breast cancer is the most common
cancer among urban women in india. Although a women can learn to examine her
own breast. After the age of 50, she must go for mammography along with the
breast sonography- the technique that uses sounds to create images of the
interior of the breasts.

4) Infection :
if you feel pelvic pain or discharge due
to gynaecologial infection, visit doctor. As it ay be mild infection which
can be cure by antibiotics, but if it left untreated , a young women likely
to develop other problem including infertility on account of damage to the
Fallopian Tube.

5) Knowledge
of The Body : Regular consultation to
doctor help a women get to know her own body better and to clear many
doubts. A gynae doctor is a confident who can help a women through the
various stages of her life.

of contraception, but each women have their won life-style,

is the best advisor in what concern matternity control, adjusting
